Ashley Ahrens, MS, FFT, AAT-I
Founder & Mental Health SpecialistAshley holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is a Certified Functional Family Therapist and Animal-Assisted Therapy Interventionist with specialized training in trauma and resilience. She has extensive experience in crisis response, providing mental health supports to individuals and families, and animal-assisted interventions. Through Doggy&Me Wellness, Ashley combines her professional expertise with her passion for healing to support individuals, families, and communities on their journey from crisis to resilience.

Nathan Ahrens
Operations & Activity Program ManagerNathan brings a strong background in program design, experiential facilitation, and adaptive recreation to Doggy & Me Wellness. With extensive experience coordinating youth programs, adventure-based interventions, and structured group activities, he ensures every session is safe, engaging, and goal-oriented. Nathan oversees operations, scheduling, and program logistics while also developing evidence-informed activities that support emotional regulation, communication, and personal growth. His passion lies in creating accessible, meaningful experiences for individuals and groups—blending organization, creativity, and compassionate leadership to help participants thrive.
Rocky
Canine Co-FacilitatorRocky is a gentle and resilient dog with a natural gift for providing comfort during times of stress and crisis. He has supported children and families through crisis response events, offering a calm presence when it’s needed most. Whether he’s visiting schools, walking alongside students during difficult conversations, or joining family sessions, Rocky helps create a safe and supportive environment. His work reminds us that healing and hope can begin with a wagging tail and a kind presence.
